“My name is Salma I am an Egyptian African Arab young woman. I have been working now for 8 years and I have two publications that have to do with work on identity and representation. Though due to my work I believe that identity is a very big thing to discuss or explain sometimes as the self is constantly changing. Yet if I’d define my identity from my memories and life events I can say that I see my identity in humour that I share, places that I call home, settings that I run to visit and stay there for a long time. I have been having a very tough year and I have been struggling a lot and it’s really hard for me to define the term identity looking on how much I changed. Though there will always be part of my identity that I will never loose and that is am on of the daughters of the Nile civilisation, Egypt.”
