Meri Shirzai, Afghanistan-Russia
Bio: Meri is 22 years old from Afghanistan-Russia, currently living in Hungary. Meri was born in Russia, Moscow to Afghan parents. They moved to Hungary in 2013 as asylum seekers. Meri is now completing her bachelor in international relations at the university of ELTE in Budapest. She also works at the Hungarian Helsinki Committee and does voluntary based work at an NGO called She4she. Humans and their rights were always her passion and she could never stand idle when she saw injustices happening in front of her. Meri grateful for the opportunity to  participate in such a project and hopes to inspire more girls like her to stand up and never give up.
