The Union of Ukrainian Women in Greece and the Union of the Ukrainian Diaspora under the auspices of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Hellenic Republic and with the support of the Stelios Foundation, on Thursday 9 May at 17:00 – 21:00, is organizing a workshop on “Active participation of migrants: influencing the present, shaping the future”.

The main objective of the event is for immigrant women from different countries, living in Greece, actively participating in the community and bringing change on a daily basis, to share good practices, identify gaps in their representation and propose solutions.

The event is organised in the framework of the programme entitled: “AGENCY PROJECT. vote with her”, a project of the European Network of Migrant Women (ENoMW) in cooperation with femLENS and national and local organisations in the EU Member States. In Greece, the project is implemented by the Association of Ukrainian Women in Greece.

The main objective of “AGENCY” is to increase the political participation of women with a migrant background in the context of the 2024 European Parliament elections in 15 EU Member States (Belgium, Cyprus, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Ireland, Italy, Cyprus, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Finland, Finland and France). The implementation of the project will run from January 2023 to June 2024.

The event is organised with the participation of the Athens Municipality Coordination Centre for Migrant and Refugee Issues| ACCMR, the Group for International and European Affairs (ODETH).
